Provides vision and strategic leadership for the planning and implementation of high-quality services to faculty and works closely with the AVPs, Deans, Associate Deans, Department Chairs, faculty, University Counsel, the Title IX office, and others on a wide variety of academic personnel issues; prioritizing equity and inclusion in all functions of the Faculty Affairs Office.
With the support of the Faculty Affairs staff of professionals, the AVP FASE is responsible for (1) the administration of all academic personnel policies and procedures, and the interpretation, application, and administration of Unit 3 (Faculty) and Unit 11 (Academic Student Employees) collective bargaining agreements, (2) equity initiatives related to faculty hiring, promotion, and tenure, and (3) facilitating the ongoing professional development of faculty. |
