Operating Systems Analyst III
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Systems requiring expertise will include Identity Management, DNS, IPAM, Virtualization, Email administration, cloud administration, and Scripting. Will use familiarity with Active Directory forest and trust management, Linux, Windows, LDAP, Infoblox, IPAM, VMware, Outlook 365/Gmail, and AZURE cloud to make adds and changes to better fit the campus community.
Supports and makes adds and changes as needed. Assists with storage and manages virtualization. Creates documentation of system architecture and repeatable Build, Run/Support activities. Closely mentors support staff within infrastructure and support teams. Builds automation scripts to improve operational processes and procedures. Provides support for production, ongoing development, upgrades, and enhancements as needed. Collaborates with project management team and acts as subject matter expert to assist with feasibility, budget, scope, and capacity needs. Assists with KPI and SLI data point gathering. Oversees partner/vendor work as needed. Learns, deploys, and documents technologies. Supports escalations as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, and five or more years of back-to-back related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
In-depth Linux or other Unix system administration experience. Previous experience delivering a new product, including methodologies, for an enterprise solution. Must have high initiative and be a clear communicator. Must be good at setting up and troubleshooting environments Preferred full lifecycle involvement of end-to-end application delivery. Extensive experience with Splunk or other log aggregation tools. Experience with Application Load balancing via F5 devices and network troubleshooting. Experience with programming/scripting languages (BASH, Ruby, Python, Perl etc.). Experience in deployment automation, monitoring and maintaining large-scale services with various underlying dependencies in a complex environment.
Experience with the following:
- Operating Systems – RHEL, CentOS, Windows 2012+, F5
- Applications – Java, Tomcat, SQL Server
- Scripting – BASH, Ruby, Python, Perl
- Version control – Git, Github
- Build/Release - Jenkins, Maven, GCC, Make
- Package – YUM/RPM, Zip, Tar
- Deploy – Capistrano, Terraform
- Provisioning – vRA, vSphere, AzureDevOps
- Networking – Infoblox, F5, physical and virtual Networking; Palo Alto firewall/Switching a plus.
- Experience with Azure and OpenStack a plus.
- Continued establishment of best-in-class DevOps development, automation and deployment practices, policies.

Hiring Salary: $6,686 - $11,666 Per Month
