The research station plays a prominent role in CI's undergraduate research and other high-impact practices, provides opportunities for diverse groups of students to participate in field science, engagement with the natural environment, and other life-changing experiences. The Research Station Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Research Station Director and Lead Research Station Specialist in coordinating the day-to-day operations and administration of the Santa Rosa Island Research Station, playing a major role in all aspects of administering and planning group visits to the research station and outreach and educational programs – including to k-12 students
