THIS IS A GIFT SUPPORTED POSITION SUBJECT TO ANNUAL RENEWAL OF GIFT FUNDS-NO PERMANENT APPOINTMENT WILL BE REACHED FROM THIS POSITION.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Develop, implement, and assess outreach strategies and promotional campaigns for communicating WMC and LRC programming to increase engagement across campus under the supervision of WMC Directors and LRC designated administrator. Responsible for the maintenance of programs, practices, and procedures information on websites, resource pages, and archives. Develops and designs outreach programs including, but not limited to, accessing tutors, classes with embedded tutors, virtual assistance, summer programs, employment opportunities for students, and coordinating requests for WMC and LRC participation in campus outreach and tabling events.
Coordinate and collaborate with campus units and other centers on campus to embed WMC and LRC services.
Collect data and provide assessments to provide direction and improvement of engagement programs under the supervision of WMC Directors and LRC designated administrator.
Provide training, instruction, and publicity for communicating with technologies under the supervision of WMC Directors and LRC administrator(s); maintains the WMC multimedia studio and develops engagement programs that expands its usage.
Coordinate WMC and LRC program recruitment and support tutor education training under the supervision of WMC Directors and LRC administrator(s).
Analyze materials and provide academic support for individual student needs and situations in writing and communication skills under the supervision of WMC Directors.
Provide embedded support needs and create materials as assigned by the WMC Director or LRC administrator and supervised by administrator in charge.
Create and provide workshops and oral presentations to groups following formats guided by WMC Directors and LRC administrator(s).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: B.A. or B.S. in any discipline; specialized experience acquired and successfully applied with required knowledge and abilities may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year-basis.
Experience:
Equivalent to one year of experience in professional Student Services work at the entry level. Equivalent amounts of graduate level job related education may be substituted for the required experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to effectively understand, interpret, and communicate procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s degree preferred
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Experience: One year experience working as an administrator and/or tutor supporting academic writing and/or communication in a writing center at a college or university. Experience working with digital equipment and software related to communication such as video editing, audio editing, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to lead workshops in a university setting. Ability to communicate through multimedia and social media platforms. Ability to create Qualtrics surveys and assess data. Excellent writer and speaker. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects with a range of individuals from students to staff and faculty. Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist.
Evening and weekend hours may be requested.

Hiring Range: $4,482 - $5,000 per month
